Mrs Danijela Savic MAPS, MCCLP
Principal Clinical Psychologist for Elite Psychology Services
Danijela's qualifications are a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Bond University, a Masters degree in Applied Psychotherapy from the University of Technology Sydney, Postgradute Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree majoring in Psychology from the University of Western Sydney. She also holds Certificates in Counselling, and working with Grief and Loss and Suicidal clients.
Danijela has over 10 years of counselling experience working as a psychologist in the public, private and education sector. She has primarily worked with adults, adolescents and children. She specialises in anxiety, particularly panic attacks, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, and phobias. She also specialises in depression, relationship issues, sex therapy, trauma, grief and loss, work stress, confidence and self esteem. Danijela has also taught Psychology to postgraduate students at Bond University.
Danijela is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, a clinical member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists and WorkCover Health Care Provider.
In addition to private practice, Danijela is also employed part-time as a Senior Psychologist at Liverpool Private Hospital in Sydney where she runs group programs with inpatients and outpatients in drug and alcohol, anxiety and depression.
In her work with children and adolescents, Danijela has worked with parenting difficulties, bullying and harassment, as well as psychometric assessment of intellectual and achievement functioning. Danijela has worked as part of a multidisciplinary child and family team at St.Vincent Child and Family where she primarily worked with children and their families with emotional and behavioural difficulties. She also received training in assessing children in foster care.
Danijela's therapeutic techniques are flexible, evidence-based and tailored to meet the needs of each individual. She has had several years practice using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. She has also received specialised training in Positive Parenting Program. She has worked with clients from various multicultural and religious backgrounds and is respectful of the specific needs of each person she meets.
Danijela is a highly experienced and compassionate therapist, committed to providing a supportive environment in order to effectively assist individuals to overcome their difficulties.
Danijela has participated in various areas of psychological research. In her Clinical Masters thesis, Danijela examined, "The Role of Emotional Intelligence and General-Self Efficacy on the Psychological Well-Being of Former Yugoslav Immigrants and Refugees living in Australia."
Mrs Mary Salama
Mary is a Registered Psychologist (Clinical Registrar) who has an open and collaborative therapeutic style. She is a friendly, caring and dedicated clinician who actively seeks to understand and work with each individual.
Mary has worked with individuals from various cultural and religious backgrounds in a respectful manner to ensure specific needs are met. She is committed to providing a supportive environment and to improve an individual’s overall wellbeing and quality of life. Her key aim of therapy is to ensure that an individual is not defined and limited by their mental health diagnosis.
Mary has previous clinical experience in private practice and community hospital settings. She has worked with a range of clinical presentations and implements a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Mary has obtained a Masters of Clinical Psychology and is currently completing the registrar program to become an endorsed Clinical Psychologist. She is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a WorkCover Health Care Provider.
Mrs Katarina Mitrovic
Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine at Nature Care College
Katarina is a fully qualified Nutritionist willing to pay special attention to understand her client’s health needs and goals. She is dedicated to providing practical, individualised, nutritional and lifestyle advice that will inspire and help her clients reach their health goals. Her main focus is identifying and addressing underlying causes of ill health and promoting wellness and preventative medicine.
In her consultations she incorporates variety of screening and functional pathology tests as well as extensive research to seek out underlying issues. This client centred approach is fundamental for achieving a lasting success. Using primarily food as medicine, evidence based quality supplemental nutrients, and her skill and experience to advise on lifestyle suggestions Katarina can help you achieve optimal health as well as aid healing in wide range of health conditions. She has a sound knowledge in wide aspects of health and nutrition including, correcting malnutrition, optimising digestion, maintaining optimal energy levels, supporting optimal weight, assisting detoxification, supporting blood sugar regulation, as well as helping clients normalise their metabolic dis-regulations.
Katarina completed an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine at Nature Care College, one of the most reputable Natural Therapy colleges in Sydney. She is an accredited member of Australian Traditional Medicine Society and a recipient of Metagenics Excellence in Nutrition award. Katarina is Qualified in VLA body composition & cellular health analysis. She is motivated and always striving to further her knowledge in the field of Complementary Medicine through continuous learning.
